1. Framingham Town Meeting continues tonight at 7;30 p.m. in Nevins Hall at the Memorial Building. Framingham Patch will be live blogging.

The “slam” is a competition between teams of poets who perform their own original work, bringing poetry off the page and onto the stage in a gloves-off, no-holds-barred verbal boxing match with judges chosen randomly from the audience, explained organizer and Framingham High teacher Alison Courchesne.

Admission is $5, or free with a Framingham High ID.

3. Flyers in action today:

  • Framingham High boys tennis team will host Braintree at 3:45 p.m.
  • Framingham High boys volleyball team will host Norwood at 5:15 p.m.
  • Framingham High boys baseball will host Brookline at 3:45 p.m.
  • The girls tennis team, girls softball team, and both the boys and girls track teams are on the road today.

Marian Mustangs in action today:

  • The boys lacrosse team is home today and the girls are on the road. The boys game is at Keefe Tech field at 4 p.m.
  • The girls softball team will host AMSA at 4 p.m. at Butterworth Park.
  • The tennis team has a match at 4 p.m. at Butterworth Park

4. The main Framingham Library will host a free story and song program for children ages 2-5, and their families today at 1:15 p.m.
