5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: August 3

The Town of Framingham's trio of public beaches will be open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

1. The main Framingham Library is hosting a cupcake contest for teens tonight.

The cupcake decorating competition inspired by the Food Network show Chopped, begins at 6:30 p.m.

Your task will be to race against the clock and decorate the most creative cupcake using a limited number of ingredients.

A panel of judges will select the winner for most creative cupcake.

2. Plan ahead: Tomorrow is National Night Out. Framingham Police and Framingham Housing Authority will host its annual event at Cushing Memorial Park Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. See you there!

3. AAA adds service for motorcycles. There are approximately 300,000 registered motorcycles in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Click here for more details on the service.

5. The Town of Framingham’s trio of public beaches will be open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beach tags are required for use. They will be sold on site at Saxonville Beach, Lake Waushakum, and Learneds Pond.
