1. The Framingham History Center will host its 4th free, family programming event of the summer this morning at 10:30 at Edgell Memorial Library. Stacey Peasley will get children moving to the beat of her guitar with musical games and a sing-a-long.

2. After the Framingham History Center program, stop by the Framingham Farmers’ Market at the Village Green. It is open from noon to 5:30 p.m.

3. The Fiesta Shows Carnival is back in town starting today. St. Stephen Church is hosting the carnival in downtown Framingham from today through Aug. 9 The carnival will feature rides, games, and food. It is open today from 6 to 11 p.m. The Carnival will be open Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday it opens at 2 p.m. There is an unlimited ride special today for $25.

4. The Skate Park Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 at the Framingham Parks & Recreation office at 475 Union Avenue.

5. U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) Wednesday introduced the Equal Employment for All Act with several other U.S. senators including Edward J. Markey of Massachusetts. The legislation would prohibit employers from requiring potential employees to disclose their credit history as part of the job application process.

“A bad credit rating is far more often the result of unexpected medical costs, unemployment, economic downturns, or other bad breaks than it is a reflection on an individual’s character or abilities,” Senator Warren said. “Families have not fully recovered from the 2008 financial crisis, and too many Americans are still searching for jobs. This is about basic fairness -- let people compete on the merits, not on whether they already have enough money to pay all their bills.”
