5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: June 15

Documentary screening at Fuller Middle School and Framingham Board of Health meeting tonight.

The documentary focuses on educational innovations that work. It shows examples of successful new approaches to student learning, including High Tech High in San Diego, where the education has been re-imagined to offer an exciting and inspiring hands-on curriculum.

The free documentary screening starts at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. A panel discussion will follow the documentary. Pre-registration is suggested, by clicking here.

2. Potter Road Elementary School will hold its grade 5 celebration tonight at 6.

4. The Senior Center will hold its weekly Sports Fanatics meeting today at 10 a.m. Maybe they can come up with a plan on how to stop the Red Sox from losing seven straight.

5. This school year, students at the Chritsa McAuliffe Charter School in Framingham formed a Gay Straight Alliance (GSA). On Saturday, members of the Alliance, alumni of the school, staff and parents marched in the 45th Annual Boston Pride Parade.
