5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: June 24
A group - Framingham First - that is looking to evolve Framingham from a Town to a City will hold its first public meeting tonight.

1. A new group of Framingham leaders say it is time for “Framingham to evolve into a city.” Last week, they launched a ”Framingham First” campaign to get residents energized to join the process to change Framingham’s town of government, including its elected 216-member Town Meeting, to a new more efficient city format.
The first public meeting is tonight Village Green on Maynard Road at 7.
2. The Framingham High School Class of 2018 is holding a Ben & Jerry’s fundraiser today from noon to 2 p.m. A portion of sales will go to the son-to-be sophomore class. Customers are asked to mention Framingham High Class of 2018 when making a purchase.

3. The Framingham School Committee held a special meeting last night and voted on the Superintendent’s review and approved a new 3-year contract for the Framingham Teachers Association, Unit A, the largest of the district’s unions.
