 1. Tonight is the 5th Annual Taste of MetroWest at the Framingham Sheraton, sponsored by the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce. The event - one of my favorites in Framingham - takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Last year, more than 1,200 people attended the event, which showcases food and beverages from MetroWest’s finest restaurants, caterers, gourmet and ethnic markets, wineries, brew houses, and local purveyors of fine liquors.

You only have a couple of hours left to order tickets at $28 each. Tickets will be $40 each at the door. Children age 12 and under are $14.

2. The Framingham Homework Center of the main Framingham Library is hosting an author reception tonight at 7 in the Costin room for all the middle and high school families who entered the What I like About Framingham essay Contest. More than 100 students entered the essay contest.
