5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: March 30
Framingham School Committee meeting at 7 tonight, with reception before meeting for out-going SC member Andy Limeri.
1. Framingham School Committee will hold a meeting tonight inside the King Building at 7, with the major focus of the meeting on the 2015-16 school year budget.
Prior to the meeting there will be a reception at 6;30 p.m. for School Committee member Andy Limeri, who is not seeking re-election.
2. PLAN AHEAD: The Framingham Town-Wide PTO (TWPTO) is hosting its annual candidates forum tomorrow, March 31 from 7-9 p.m. at Framingham High School, in room H-100.

Audience members will hear questions posed from a modertaor to School Committee candidates and Framingham Selectmen candidates. There are three individuals running for two 3-year terms on the Framingham School Committee and two men running for one 3-year term on the Framingham Board of Selectmen. Selectmen candidates are incumbent Jason Smith and challenger Jim Pillsbury. School Committee candidates are incumbent Beverly Hugo and challengers Jim Kelly and Scott Wadland.

3. On Saturday night an SUV and a DPW sander truck collided. The collision caused the sander truck to slide into a house on Bishop Street. Three individuals were taken to the hospital and the house suffered severe damage. (Photos courtesy of Beth Koehler.)
4. Over the weekend, the Framingham Police and Fire departments played a hockey game at Loring Arena. The Police department won the 6th Annual Battle of the Badge game. Attendees were asked to bring canned goods for the Pearl Street Cafe, as admission price for the hockey game. Click here to view more than 100 photos from the game.
5. Walsh Middle School educator Sarah Guernsey asked students, staff, and Framingham families to take selfies on March 14 to celebrate National Pi Day. If possible, individuals were asked to capture the first 10 digits of Pi - 3.141592653 or mark March 14, 2015 at 9:26.53 a.m. That mathematical number will not happen again in time for another 100 years.
