5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: March 4
Curriculum night at Framingham High for incoming freshman, admission lottery at Christa McAuliffe Charter School, and Walsh fundraiser.

1. Tonight is Curriculum Night at Framingham High for students who are thinking of becoming freshman at the school. The event starts at 7 in the high school’s auditorium.
The event is designed to help incoming freshmen (and their parents) gain insight into the different courses and levels offered to freshmen at the high school.
Department heads, as well as teachers from each department, will be present to answer questions about course offerings and expectations. It is helpful for students to bring a copy of their course recommendations in order to discuss specific courses. The recommendation forms were to be distributed to the students at the three public middle schools (Cameron, Fuller and Walsh) yesterday. There was a delay this year in delivering the forms to students at McAuliffe Charter School.
2. If you have an incoming freshman on an IEP (an individual education plan) or in a special needs program, parents and students may want to attend a transitional event at Framingham High tonight from 6-7 in the high school’s library, sponsored by the F-SEPAC, to ask questions about transitioning from middle school to high school.
3. Tonight is Walsh Middle School night at Margarita’s in Framingham. Between 4 and 10 p.m., a portion of sales will be donated to the Walsh PTO.
4. The Framingham Town Election is scheduled for one month from yesterday on Tuesday, April 7.
Tonight Framingham School Committee member Beverly Hugo is holding a fundraiser at the Deluxe Depot Diner from 5-7. Hugo is running for re-election to the School Committee. She is being challenged by two dads. All are invited to attend the event tonight.
