5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: March 6
Opening night for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, free screening of The Theory of Everything, and final day to take school surveys.

1. Tonight is opening night for the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Featuring a cast of students in grades 7-12 from the MetroWest area, the show starts at 7:30 at Amazing Things Arts Center. Advanced tickets are $16 Adults, $14 for seniors and youths. 2. Today is the final day to give the Framingham Public Schools your input on how to improve communications. Earlier this week, the district released a survey to parents and staff. Click here to take the survey and learn more.
3. Today is also the final day for parents and school staff to take the survey on how to make up the district’s seven snow days, thus far.

4. The Framingham Library will hold a free screening of the movie The Theory of Everything at the main Framingham Library at 7. The 2014 film, with Academy-Award winning actor Eddie Redmayne is James Marsh’s biopic of the celebrated scientist, Stephen Hawking, who establishes himself as one of the leading minds of his generation, and begins to win the heart of Jane. The film is rated PG-13 and is about 2 hours long.
As the main Framingham Library closes at 5 p.m., please use the Lexington Street side entrance between 6;30 and 7:15 p.m.
