5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: May 8
Trio of theatre productions: Pippin at Framingham High, King and I at Marian and Bye Bye Birdie at Performing Arts Center of MetroWest

1. Framingham High School will stage Pippin tonight at Framingham High at 7:30. Tickets are $15 at the door. (The final performance is Saturday at 7:30 p.m.)

3. Tonight is opening night for the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. The performance features a cast of students in grades 3-8 from the MetroWest area. Tonight’s show starts at 7:30.
There are also performances Saturday at 7;30 and Sunday at 2 p.m. Advance tickets: Adults: $16; Seniors & Youth: $14; all tickets $2 more at the door. Tickets available by calling 508-875-5554 or online at www.pacmetrowest.org

4. Lemonade Mouth author Mark Peter Hughes will be at the main Framingham Library for a teen boys reading event tonight.
5. Plan ahead: The Christa McAuliffe Charter School will hold its annual 5K road race on Saturday morning May 9. This is a new course. Same day pregistration is permitted.
