5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: November 9
A pop-up library will open today and Hoops and Homework founder will be honored at a fundraiser at Jack's Abby to benefit his program.

1. The main Framingham Library on Lexington Street is still closed, following an electrical explosion in October, that seriously injured two contractor workers with second and third degree burns.
Today, Library Trustees and its director will open a pop-up library branch in downtown Framingham at the former St Stephenβs School on Clinton Street, that recently housed the McAuliffe Charter School until it moved earlier this year.

3. Jackβs Abby Beer Hall is hosting a private fundraiser tonight for the Hoops & Homework program.

The programβs founder Herb Chasan of Framingham will be honored at the event, which celebrates the third year of the program, and raises money to continue the program.

4. The United Way of Tri-County and Access Framingham teamed up last night for a 3-hour telethon that raised more than $26,000 to help feed families this holiday season.
5. Plan ahead: Just a reminder there is no school on Wednesday, Veterans Day. The town will hold a ceremony at Cushing Memorial Park, starting at 11 a.m. and a service at Cushing Chapel, afterwards.
