5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: October 2

Framingham Fire responds to Saint Bridget School, Keefe Technical, and Walsh Middle Schools. Marian/Keefe homecoming game tonight.

1. Framingham Fire department responded to Walsh Middle School, Saint Bridget School, and Keefe Technical School for incidents on Thursday.

The Framingham Fire Deputy said there was no fire at Keefe Technical Thursday night. He said there may have been a malfunction in something on the roof that caused smoke. The adult educational classes were evacuated for about 30 minutes.

The Framingham Fire Department responded to a report of a gas odor at Saint Bridget School on Thursday.

And Framingham Fire is investigating a small fire at Walsh Middle School, that was believed to have been caused by a student setting papers on fire and placing them in another student’s locker, according to the fire deputy.

“There was no damage to physical property, no injures, and everyone was safe,” said Principal Patrick Johnson.

2. Tonight is the Marian/Keefe homecoming football game. Kickoff starts at 7 at the Maple Street Field on the campus of Framingham State University.

3. Tonight’s Framingham High football game against Brookline has been rescheduled to Saturday night, Oct. 3. at 7 to the Maple Street Field on the campus of Framingham State University.
