5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: October 22

The main Framingham Public Library is closed today. Night 3 of Special Town Meeting at 7:30 in Nevins Hall.

1. Tonight is Night 3 of Special Town Meeting at Nevins Hall at the Memorial Building. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. or when a quorum is reached.

Last night, Town Meeting members approved a zoning change to downtown Framingham.

2. The main Framingham Library is closed again today. It will be closed all week and likely next week, too. The Christa McAuliffe library branch in Saxonvile is open regular hours for patrons, but there is no printing available. The library’s planned Lifelong Learning Lecture for today will take place in the Blumer Room at 7 p.m. inside the Memorial Building in downtown Framingham. Museum passes that have been reserved can be picked up at the McAuliffe branch, which is located at 10 Nicholas Road. The Y’ALL book group scheduled for today has been cancelled.

3. SCHOOL NEWS:

  • Barbieri Elementary and Dunning Elementary will both hold family math night events at 6:30.
  • There is an open house at Saint Bridget School tonight at 6:30 for parents and prospective new students. Click here for more details.

4. FLYERS in action:

  • Boys soccer will host Newton North at 3:45 p.m. at the high school
  • Girls soccer travels to Newton for a 6:30 p.m. game against the Tigers, under the lights.
  • Girls volleyball has an away match against Newton North at 3:45 p.m.

5. Finally stop by the Framingham Farmers’ Market today between noon and 5:30 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common. Next Thursday is the final market of the season.
