5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: St Patrick's Day 2015

​​​1. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! A couple of Framingham restaurants are offering special today.

• Nobscot’s Cafe will feature music by The Belfast Cowboys from 5 to 9 p.m. but offering food special all day. Click here to view the specials.
• O’Connell’s Pub is also having food special today, but from 2 to 9 p.m. the Framingham High hockey team will be holding its annual fundraiser at the restaurant.

2. Tonight, the Framingham School Committee is scheduled to meet at 7 at the King Administration Building. The agenda has the meeting lasting 4 hours.

On the agenda:

• A School Committee vote on how to make up the 7 snow days the school district has had this year.
• A presentation on the new PARCC testing by Jeff Wulfson, the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. He will address community questions and concerns about the implications of the PARCC exams.
• A public hearing on the School Department’s 2015-16 school year budget.

3. Framingham Selectmen are also scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.

On the agenda is a vote by Selectmen on a tax incentive agreement for Jack’s Abby Brewing. The Board will also listen to a citizen’s petition on creating a skateboard park.

4. Congresswoman Katherine Clark, who represents Framingham, partnered with Project Citizenship and the Massachusetts Office of Refugees and Immigrants to host Citizenship Day in Framingham, over the weekend. Click here to view a slideshow of photos.
