5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Veterans Day 2015
Both Walsh Middle and Cameron Middle schools held assemblies Tuesday to mark Veterans Day.

1. The Town of Framingham will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony today at 11 a.m. inside Cushing Memorial Chapel. The Girl Scouts will recite the pledge of allegiance. Framingham Police Officer Jose Cosme, who is a Veteran, is the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend. Due to the weather, there is no outside portion of the program.
2. Prior to the ceremony, there will be a traveling program at the townβs cemeteries and Veterans sites in Framingham. The public is invited to attend the entire tour or any one stop.
- 8 a.m. Depart from Cushing Memorial Park
- 8:15 a.m. St. Tarcissius Cemetery
- 8:40 a.m. Peace Park (Dudley Road, across from Barbieri Elementary School)
- 9 a.m. Minuteman Memorial (Intersection of Main Street and Union Avenue)
- 9:20 Civil War Monument on Oak Street
- 9:40 a.m. St. Stephenβs Cemetery
- 10 a.m. Edwardβs Cemetery
- 10:15 a.m. Atheneum Hall
- 10:30 a.m. Barker memorial (Intersection of School and Concord streets)
- 10:45 a.m. All Wars Memorial (Veteransβ Park)
- 11 a.m. Cushing Memorial Chapel
3. After todayβs ceremony, the Framingham Elks will host a reception for Veterans and those who participated in events this morning at their lodge. The reception is expected to start about noon.
