AAA Adds Service For Motorcycles

There are approximately 300,000 registered motorcycles in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

AAA Northeast, which has an office on Route 9 in Framingham, has added roadside assistance for motorcycles to its list of benefits for AAA Plus and Premier members, providing a growing segment of the traveling public new protection when they hit the open road.

Eligible AAA members can receive battery jumpstarts and tire inflation, fuel delivery, and towing up to 100 miles at no charge (200 miles for Premier members).

All registered, street-legal motorcycles (two and three wheeled) are eligible along with mopeds, scooters, plus motorized and electric bicycles. This optional coverage is good for an entire member household and is available for $30 per year added to existing Plus and Premier coverage.

Basic AAA members interested in having motorcycle coverage can do so as long as they are eligible for an upgrade to AAA Plus.

“We’ve heard from motorcycle riders who want to enjoy AAA’s world-class roadside assistance. Expanding our coverage into this area not only enhances the value of AAA membership, it also helps keep these members safe at the roadside,” said Mary Wyatt, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Publications for AAA Northeast.
