Afternoon of Tea and Music at Performing Arts Center of MetroWest

The free musical benefit concert is Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.

The public is invited to attend a free musical benefit concert, An Afternoon of Tea and Music, presented by the Boston Alumnae Chapter, Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI), International Music Fraternity at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) on Saturday, November 21 from 3 to 4 p.m.

The concert will be followed by a tea. There will be an opportunity for free-will offerings, which will be gratefully accepted for PAC’s scholarships for music programs, as well as used to benefit SAI Philanthropies, Inc.

The concert will feature flautist Julie Morris accompanying Michelle Schultz, soprano, on β€œShe Moved Through the Fair,” from Three Irish Folk Songs composed by John Corigliano. Martha Ebel, soprano, will present works by Joaquin Rodrigo accompanied by pianist and PAC Faculty member Eliomar Nascimento. Erin McErath, soprano, will sing β€œL’annΓ©e en vain chasse l’annΓ©e” from L’Enfant Prodigue, composed by Claude Debussy and accompanied by pianist and PAC faculty member Chelsea Whitaker.

Scholarships will be used to create access to music lessons for students of all ages, especially those with economic challenges. PAC is located in the Danforth Building on the 3rd floor nearby the Framingham Public Library.
