UPDATED: Boston Marathon Awards Team Framingham 22 Bibs for 2016 Race

55 runners have already applied for the lottery for those race bibs. The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 30 at 4 p.m.

Framingham Assistant Town Manager Jim Duane and Board of Selectmen Vice Chair Michael Bower met with Boston Athletic Association officials on Thursday afternoon in Hopkinton.

The two announced Framingham will receive 22 invitational entries from the Boston Athletic Association for the April 18, 2016 running of the Boston Marathon. This is the same number of entry bibs, as for the 2015 marathon.

β€œWe expect a high level of interest in the community and among town employees for a coveted invitational entry for the 2016 Boston Marathon” said Bower.
