New artists, as well as favorites, are eager to show you their newest work and – of course – encourage you to take home an original artwork for your home or business. This is a rare opportunity not only to see a tremendous variety of original art, but also to be allowed to come into working studios. Not every artist in the building is participating.
Stop by the Fountain Street Fine Art Gallery on the first floor, showcasing newly-installed works by artists, in a special 8X8 exhibit.
This is a special opportunity not only to view work by some of New England’s most talented artists, but also to chat informally with the artists and discuss materials and techniques.
A goal of Open Studios is to bring art to the public and generate awareness of the multifaceted artistic community based in Framingham and the surrounding region.
The 59 Fountain Street studios are located in the historic Bancroft Building, which is a five-story walk-up building. Please plan accordingly. There is free parking. On Friday night only guitarist Mike Pascarella will perform.
