Christa McAuliffe Charter School Holding Open House Monday

The school, located in Framingham is an Expeditionary Learning Charter for middle school students in grades 6-7-8.

The Christa McAuliffe Charter School, an Expeditionary Learning Charter School, for middle school students is holding an open house on Monday, Nov. 9.

If your child is in 4th or 5th grade, you are invited to learn more about the Framingham-based school, which accepts students annually via a lottery.

At the admissions open house on Nov. 9 (and also on January 28) your child will have a chance to become familiar with McAuliffe.

The charter school will hold a McAuliffeQUEST to guide prospective students through a series of activities, while parents have a chance to learn about McAuliffe’s Expeditionary Learning program and meet teachers, parents, students, and school leaders.

The deadline to apply for admission for the 2016-17 school year is Friday, February 26, 2016.

The lottery will be held at the school’s 139 Newbury Street campus on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

The school is also holding 9 informational sessions, where families can learn about McAuliffe’s Expeditionary Learning program from the student admissions team and the school’s Executive Director Kristin Harrison.

  • Thursday, Dec. 17 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Thursday, Jan, 7 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 28, from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 11 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 25 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Monday, March 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 10 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Tuesday, March 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
