1. Community Hour – Learn about What is Going on in Our hospital Regarding COVID-19: All are welcome to attend Community Hour Tuesday, December 14, at 5 p.m. Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer will be joined by MetroWest Medical Center infectious disease specialist Dr. Felipe Barbosa to discuss COVID-19 at the hospital. Dr. Barbosa has been front and center for all COVID matters at MetroWest Medical Center and is considered an expert in his field. Attendees will be able to pose questions during the hour via Zoom's Chat function. If you cannot attend and have questions, please email kmcfalls@framinghamma.gov with the subject line: December 14 Community Hour. Zoom information on how to join is here. A video recording of the Zoom will be available following for those who cannot attend.
2. Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer to Deliver Farewell Address Thursday, December 16, 7-8 p.m.: Mayor Spicer will deliver a farewell address on the Framingham Government Channel and Zoom and Thursday, 7-8 p.m. You can watch it on the Government Channel (Comcast 99, RCN 13/HD 613, and Verizon 42) and Zoom. 4. Are You on the Lookout for the City’s Toy Soldiers?: This year, thirty-four wooden toy soldiers are scattered throughout the City. Four new recruits were created in-house this year, including soldiers of color and women. Throughout December, the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department is providing the geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/bowditchfield) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/framparksandrec/), so you can locate and visit all of the soldiers.
