Framingham’s Congresswoman Katherine Clark releases a statement on the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the Obergefell v. Hodges case:

“Today’s Supreme Court victory closes the chapter on one of the most significant civil rights battles of our lifetime and teaches us that progress becomes inevitable when we reach across longstanding divisions to demand nothing less than full equality. I’m proud to raise my boys in a country that recognizes that love is what makes a family,”said Rep. Clark.

“Marriage equality is an important milestone in history, but our goal to end discrimination against LGBT people is far from complete. Let’s celebrate today and get back to work on more victories tomorrow,” said Clark.
