On Saturday, Nov. 21, Connect Community Church in Ashland is giving away 500 free turkeys to the community.Stop by between 9:30 a.m.and 12:30 p.m. and pick up your free turkey. This is the Ashland church's 8th annual turkey giveaway.Organizers said no strings attached and you don't have to be low income to get a turkey. Framingham residents are welcome to attend.The family event, held rain or shine, includes crafts and baloon animals for the kids.Hot coffee and apple cider and a ton of yummy baked goodies will be served too.Also this holiday season, the Ashland church is also donating 30 turkeys to McCarthy Elementary for the school's Thanksgiving baskets for families in need and donating 50 turkeys to Walsh Middle School, for its families in need.
