Diosa Dance Celebrates 3rd Anniversary With Show to Benefit Voices Against Violence

The Framingham Dance studio will hold a showcase performance Friday, June 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. with proceeds going to Voices Against Violence

Diosa Dance Yoga Health in Framingham is celebrating its 3rd anniversary.

Friday night, June 19, from 7 to 9, the Pleasant Street Studio will hold a fundraising show, featuring dance, pole dance, burlesque and belly dancing to benefit Voices Against Violence, a non-profit also based in Framingham.

It is an “sassy, saucy, sensational and deliciously entertaining evening of empowering dance,” said owner Paulina, who is also celebrating another milestone, turning 50.

Tickets can be purchased at the studio ahead of time or at the door for $15.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds of the show will go to Voices against Violence,” said Paulina.

Voices Against Violence, based in Framingham, has a mission to end sexual and domestic violence. Its services include a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention, confidential short term emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, information and referrals, and medical, legal and criminal justice advocacy.

“Through dance, yoga, and holistic health, Diosa Studios works on the body, spirit and mind to awaken the potential for healing, compassion, and creativity that lies ready in each one of us,” she said.

Diosa Dance is located at 9 Pleasant Street, on the second floor.
