EDITOR'S PICKS: 5 Things To Do in Framingham on June 20
Summer Reading kick-off event in Saxonville with BIG trucks and Hanson's Farm hosting a Strawberry Festival.
These are my picks of things to do today, June 20 in Framingham:
- Explore Trucks & READ: Today is the kick-off event for the Framingham Library’s summer reading program. Visit the McAuliffe Library branch to sign up for the free summer program and meet super heroes including Batman.. Then go across the street and explore big trucks from the DPW, Fire, and Police Departments! There will also be U.S. Postal trucks and an ice cream trucks too, until noon. - Go Book Shopping: The Friends of the Framingham Library will hold its monthly book sale today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be no book sales in July or August,so today is a good day to stock up on summer reading.
- Take in a Softball Game: Both the Senior League and Junior A League champions will be crowned this afternoon. Semifinal round at 2 p.m. with finals about 4 p.m. Click here for more details.
- Pick Strawberries: Hanson’s Farm in Framingham is hosting a Strawberry Festival today, featuring music, crafts for kids, a baking contest and hayrides. You can also pick your own strawberries. Click here for more details.
- Take in a Performance: Bostonian Lori Diamond and New Yorker Fred Abatelli, have been creating and performing music together since their “destined” meeting on Myspace in 2007. Tonight, the two will perform at Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham at 8 . Click here to learn more about the duo.
