EDITOR'S PICKS: 5 Things To Do In Framingham Today, April 4

Listen to guitarist Joe Crookston at Amazing Things, watch a movie at the Framingham Library, take in a lacrosse game, or eat chocolate!

Below are my editor’s picks for things to do today, Saturday, April 4

  1. Muddy, Snowy Egg Hunt: This morning is the 5th Annual Town of Framingham egg hunt at Cushing Memorial Park in Framingham. Pre-registration was required for the event, in which boys and girls ages 3-12 will search for more than 2,000 eggs. Framingham Patch will post a slideshow from the event over the weekend. My recommendation, wear the boots due to snow still on the ground and predicted rains.
  2. Listen to Music: Check out guitarist Joe Crookston at Amazing Things Arts Center tonight at 8. Tickets are still available, at $20. Discounts available. (A video link of a previous performance is below).
  3. Eat Delicious Chocolates: One of my favorite small businesses in town is Chocolate Therapy. Stop by the Route 9 business and pick up a few pops or bunnies for your child’s Easter basket or better yet some chocolate for you!
  4. Take in a Lacrosse Game: Marian High School’s girls lacrosse team will play a game at 11 a.m. Keefe Technical’s field today. Framingham State University will host Conference foe MCLA today at noon at its Maple Street fields. The public can attend. The Rams are 3-2 thus far this season.
  5. Watch a Movie: The main Framingham Library will host a free screening of Song of the Sea (Rated PG; for mild peril, language and pipe smoking images) today at 2 p.m. for families. Movie summary: When Saoirse and Ben’s mother mysteriously disappears into the ocean, the two children go on an epic journey to find out the truth about her, and in the process, discover mystical secrets about Saoirse as well.
