Fiery Crash on Route 135 in Ashland; Road Closed
Ashland Fire and Police are responding to a truck striking a pole on Route 135. The road is closed.

UPDATED: The fire is out but the clean up is still continuing.
A portion of the road, in both directions, is still closed at 4 p.m.

Ashland Fire and Ashland Police responded to a truck striking a pole on Route 135. just before 2 p.m. today, May 4.
The road is closed.

The struck then burst into flames, according to witnesses.
The driver of the crash survived, and was taken to MetroWest Medical Center with leg injuries.
Ashland Police Tweeted this photo from the West Union Street scene.
Due to the accident all Ashland Middle School dismissal will be on the MBTA Access Road. Both buses & parent pickup.
The fire spread to a home at 66 West Union Street.
The crash happened just west of the CVS/Papa Gino’s Shopping Plaza, near the middle school.
