Flyer Ferrari Finishes Second in NE Interscholastic Golf Championship

Max Ferrari, a junior at Framingham High, competed in the tournament Monday, in Keene, New Hampshire.

Framingham High Junior Max Ferrari finished in second place in the 25th Annual New England Interscholastic Golf Championship held Monday, June 22, in Keene New Hampshire on the North Course of the Bretwood Golf Club, said Flyer Golf Coach Will Cook.

Ferrari shot one-under par 71, just one stroke behind the winning score of 70, said Cook.

“Every chance that I have, I am out on the golf course. Whether it’s practicing on the range or putting green, working on my short game, playing a round, I enjoy every moment. I see every tournament as an opportunity to learn, and take something valuable from each and every tournament I compete in,” wrote Ferrari on his web site.

Framingham High’s Jillian Jones finished in sixth place for the girls in New England.

“ This was an impressive pair of finishes in a field comprised of the top high school golfers from each of the New England states, even more so considering that Max is a junior and Jillian is a sophomore,” said Cook.
