Flyer Marching Band Earns Gold Medal at New England Championships

The Framingham High marching band competed in Lawrence on Sunday, Nov. 1.

The Framingham High School marching band earned a gold medal at the New England Scholastic Band Association’s New England Championships in Lawrence yesterday, Nov. 1.

The Flyers finished second in Division 2, behind North Middlesex Regional High School’s band.

Framingham High scored 91.3 points.

Almost 3 dozen high school and college bands participated yesterday, in more than 5 divisions.

Framingham High’s drum major Lara Williams was presented with the Best Drum Major Award for Division 2.

Under the direction of Andrew Jasinski, the theme of this year’s performance is The Sea.
