As a midfielder, he used his athletic ability to excel on both sides of the ball.

In college, he took face-offs and served on both offensive and defensive special teams units.

DiStefano was a New England Prep School All Star at Lexington Christian Academy, where he still holds many offensive records.

For three years, he served as varsity assistant coach at Lexington Christan, where he focused on offense and goalie instruction.

"Together, Luke and Fred look forward to building a program focused on discipline, hard work and accountability. The game of Lacrosse helped shape Luke and he is excited to continue passing that tradition along to the boys of Framingham High School," wrote interim athletic director Ron Sudmyer on the high school's athletic website.
