Flyers Place 14th at Eastern Cross-Country Championships
Framingham cross-country captain Lucy Matzilevich finished 63rd out of 121 runners in the 5K course.

Newton Southβs cross-country runners dominated the MIAA Division 1 Eastern cross-country championships Saturday. Newton South girls finished 1-2 to win the 5K race course and to lead their team to a championship title. In fact, all five of their runners finished in the top 30.
Framingham Highβs girls cross-country team finished 14th out of 16 teams at the Wrentham course on Nov. 14.
Newtonβs South Clare Martin won the race in 18:16 minutes, with teammate Rebecca Grusby finishing a close second at 18:25 minutes.

Framinghamβs best runner on the day was captain Lucy Matzilevich, who finished 63rd out of 121 runners. Her time was 21:33.64 minutes.
Freshman Isabelle Carrasquillo finished in 76th place in 22:05.07 minutes. Senior Ellen Burton finished right behind her in 77th place in 22:06.28 minutes.

Senior Molly Covarrubias ran 23:56.22 minutes to finish 104th. Framingham freshman Macey McEnaney ran 23:58.18 to finished 105th.
