Framingham Fire Responds to Sparks on Woodland Drive
Residents in the neighborhood reported flickering lights and then saw fire trucks appear Thursday night.

The Framingham Fire Department responded to a report of sparks on Woodland Drive, Thursday around 10:25 p.m.
Residents in the neighborhood reported flickering lights and then saw fire trucks arrive.
Framingham Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Burns said the issue was caused by an Eversource (formerly NSTAR) pole. A service line coming into the meter on the pole, shorted out, and was sparking, said Burns.

The Deputy Chief said the firefighters checked out the home at 91 Woodland Drive, and removed sliding to make sure there was no fire.
The Framingham Building Commissioner and Eversource was notified.

”There was no active fire,” said Burns.
