Framingham Health Department Moving to Fuller Middle School

Town of Framingham's community health programs are moving to space formerly occupied by Access Framingham.

The community health programs of the Framingham Board of Health are relocating to Fuller Middle School.

Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin said the programs will occupy the space formerly of Access Framingham, which just had its grand opening for new offices on Vernon Street earlier this month.

“The move has been well received,” said Halpin, who said the community health programs will be located near the Vision Center at the Flagg Drive middle school.

“It provides great coordination between the town’s health programs and the school system,” said Halpin to Selectmen Tuesday night.

Next month, the Framingham Public Schools Parent Information Center will move from its current location at the King Building to Fuller Middle School.

“It will provide one-stop shopping for parents,” said Halpin. They can visit the vision center and then go next door for immunizations, etc.”

“It’s free office space,” added Halpin.

Halpin said the move also allows the Town of Framingham to re-align office space in the Memorial Building.

He told Selectmen accounting and payroll will move into the space formerly occupied by the health department in the Memorial Building.

And inspectional services of the Health Department will move downstairs to be closer to the rest of the town’s inspectional services.
