Framingham High Jazz Band Wins Gold Medal

The Framingham High School Jazz ensemble 1 competed last night in a Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education (MAJE) competition and earned a gold medal.

The Flyers performances at Reading High also earned the ensemble a spot in the state’s big band finals to be held at Framingham High on March 22.
Framingham High’s music department and the FHS instrumental music boosters will host the state competition.

At last night’s competition, “musicianship awards” went to Flyers Jeremy Galloway (guitar) Chris Barone (bass), and Eric Tarlin (alto sax ).
Tarlin also was presented with one of the night’s MVP awards.

Framingham High’s Jazz ensemble 2 competes tonight, March 11 for a place at the finals at Algonquin Regional High School.
