Framingham High To Present Tennessee Williams' Vieux Carre Friday
This will be Framingham High's entry into the Massachuetts Educational Theater Guild's Drama Festival competition, which begins Saturday.

Saturday, Framingham High School will compete in the 2015 Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s Drama Festival.
The Flyers will travel to Brookline High School for the opening round of the METG competition. More than 100 high school will compete this weekend.
Framingham High has done well in the past making it to the finals of 10 of the last 12 years, including last year. They won in 2006.

This year’s entry will by the drama company’s first ever production of a Tennesse Williams play.
The Framingham High Drama Company will stage Vieux Carré, autobiographical play, set in a boardinghouse in New Orleans. The play “reveals a young Tennessee Williams’ musings on life through a series of interwoven vignettes, featuring a colorful array of characters.”

On Friday night, Framingham High School’s Drama Company will stage a benefit performance of the play for the public at 7 p.m. at the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $10 and are still available at www.showtix4u.com. If available, they can be purchased at the door too.
The public is also invited to see the Flyers compete at Brookline High at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
The students cast and student-run play can not run longer than 40 minutes. Students have a a set amount of time to stage the production and to clear the stage afterwards.

The show will be directed by Donna Wresinski and Chris Brindley but student festival coordinators are Callie Llewellyn and Sarah Rosenthal.
