Framingham Olive Garden Welcomes New General Manager
John Luyt, who has been with Olive Garden for decades, was recently named the new general manager for the Framingham location.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—John Luyt, who has been with Olive Garden for decades, was recently named the new general manager for the Framingham location.
Luyt grew up in Anchorville, MI, but spent the majority of his career in Texas – traveling with the company and helping train new team members at new restaurant openings in two Texas locations, according to the announcement. He started with Olive Garden 22 years ago as a culinary manager, working in the back of the house. Most recently, he was GM of the Olive Garden in Arlington, TV, where he led a diverse team.
In 2007, Luyt joined an elite group of general managers and achieved parent company Darden Restaurants’ Diamond Club status for his commitment to delivering guest experiences at the highest level, while making a difference in the lives of guests and team members, as well as in his community, said the announcement.

He says his goal is to make Olive Garden the first choice for lunch and dinner in Framingham and surrounding areas. He credits his team members for helping him get to where he is today.
“I believe in delivering great guest satisfaction and making this restaurant a great place to work for our team,” Luyt said in an announcement. Lutt's favorite dish? Chicken parmesan.
