Framingham Police Looking For Cadets: Apply Now
The Framingham Police Department is looking to bolster its ranks. For a chance to join the department, here's the info you need to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Police Department is looking for new cadets and took to Facebook Friday to advertise its search. "Do you have what it takes to be a Framingham Police Officer?" the post says.
Veterans and residents get preference. Police also said they are seeking applicants who represent the demographics of their community.

Here are the requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma, GED or 3 years in the armed services with a discharge under honorable conditions
- Be a nonsmoker at the time of appointment
- Pass the Mass HRD test
- Pass a background check and other testing (physical, psychological)
- Have a Mass drivers license
- Be eligible for a Mass LTC
The exam is in English, Chief Steven Trask said, but there will be high consideration for bilingual applicants.
