Framingham Police: Social Media Helps To Catch Home Invasion Suspect

Framinghan Police arrested Ronald Horne, 30, on Concord Street Tuesday.

Framingham Police was able to capture Ronald Horne, 30, of Framingham, wanted in connection with a home invasion thanks to an individual seeing a social media posting.

A member of the community observed a posting on social media and notified Framingham Police, said Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin.

Police officers arrested Horne on Concord Street. He was taken into custody without incident, said Cronin.

Framingham Patch posted that police were looking for Horne on its site and also on both the Framingham Patch Facebook page and Twitter account. Framingham Police had posted the wanted poster on its Facebook page yesterday.

Horne was sought by police after a a report of a home invasion and assault on Monday morning.

The home invasion took place near Routes 9 and 126 about 8 a.m. yesterday, March 2, said Police.

The victim and the man, wanted by police, knew each other. It was not a random home invasion.
