Framingham Rescues Chosen For Stand Up For Pits Event
Local rescues will benefit from the prestigious Stand Up For Pits event coming to Boston in May.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The Stand Up For Pits Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to saving lives and ending the abuse and discrimination of Pit Bull “type” dogs (Pibbles) through live events, funds, education and advocacy.
Supporting these pit bull "type" dog rescues around the country, the Foundation raises funds and gives publicity opportunities to Pibble adoptions at the Stand Up For Pits live events.
Based in Framingham, PittieLove Rescue is excited and honored to be chosen to be a part of the Stand Up For Pits event on Tuesday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Laugh Boston. Rebecca Corey, comedian and actress, is headlining the event.

"It’s an amazing opportunity to be partnering with a national organization that has done so much advocacy work for pit bulls," said Noreen Ford, executive director of PittieLove Rescue. "We’re excited to be involved in an event that brings together dog lovers right in our own community. It will raise more awareness about some of the work that is being done in Boston for pit bull-type dogs. And, it gives us the platform to share with people what we are doing, allowing us to connect with people in the community who are dog lovers, are looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, or support us."
