Framingham Rotary Names Halpin Citizen of the Year

Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin was named the 2015 Citizen of the Year by the Framingham Rotary Club.

Halpin, who was hired by Framingham Selectmen in 2012, said he was “humbled” by the “unexpected” honor.

Halpin in accepting his award last Thursday night said he had been on the job 3 years, 2 weeks and 2 days.

He said he could not have accomplished what he has without a supportive board (of selectmen) and the employees of the Town of Framingham.

Selectman Chair Charlie Sisitsky attended the event to honor Halpin.

“The Board gives me good direction and good guidance,” said Halpin.

Town Moderator Teri Banerjee, a Rotarian, presented the award to Halpin.
