Framingham Shares Conference Title With 23-8 Record

The Rams women's volleyball team is the second seed in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

The Framingham State University volleyball team captured a share of the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) regular season title and earned the second seed in this week’s MASCAC Volleyball Tournament.

The Rams finished the regular season 23-8 overall and 5-1 in the MASCAC which earned them a share of the MASCAC regular season title with MCLA who also finished the regular season 5-1 in the conference.

The Trailblazers, however, earn the top seed in the tournament and the right to host the semifinals and finals on Saturday, November 7th by virtue of their head-to-head victory over the Rams.

The quarterfinal round of the tournament will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Fourth seed Bridgewater State will face fifth seed Salem State and the winner will advance to face top seed MCLA in one semifinal on Saturday at 12 p.m. in North Adams.

Third seed Westfield State will host sixth seed Worcester State on Wednesday and the winner will advance to face Framingham on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the other semifinal.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday 30 minutes after the conclusion of the second semifinal with the winners of the two semifinal matches meeting to determine who earns the MASCAC’s automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Volleyball Championships.
