Framingham State Defeats Anna Maria 5-1
The Rams will travel to Bridgewater State for a Conference contest on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Framingham State senior forward Cory Cardiero scored a goal and registered two assists en route to a 5-1 victory over Anna Maria in non-conference men’s soccer action Tuesday afternoon in Framingham.
The Rams opened up scoring early in the contest when Cardiero headed in a long cross from freshman Lucas Medeiros to take an early lead.

The AMCATS answered back in the 25th minute after a Rams foul setup a free kick for Anna Maria. They sent a long cross through the box that was headed back across the net by junior Dalton Gill and redirected into the open net by junior Chris Mattioli to tie the score.
The Rams struck back when junior Corey Sousa sent a low strike past the AMCAT keeper after gathering a lead pass from Cardeiro. FSU closed the 1st half scoring when freshman Corey Dunn chipped a shot over a AMC defender after the keeper punched out a cross.

The Rams added two goals in the second stanza when newcomer Ken Stahovish scored with an assist coming from junior Siman Appiah. Sophomore Andy Segura scored the Rams 5th goal when a Cardeiro shot was saved and generated a rebound.
Josh Arno made 7 saves in the first 76 minutes for Framingham State before being relieved by freshman Maxwell Amoah. Elliot Kuzma made 9 saves for the AMCATS.
The Rams will travel to Bridgewater State for a MASCAC contest on Saturday at 10 a.m.
