The letter states there βwas no harm to any students.β

The parents said they were first notified by the schoolβs vice principal of an incident at school, via a phone call after 3:30 p.m. School gets out at 3:05 p.m.
Framingham Patch knows the names of the parents and the student threatened, but has chosen not to publish the name to protect the third grader. The parents contacted Framingham Patch today.
On Nov. 18, Framingham Police interviewed the third grade boy, who said a classmate threatened to stab him with a knife, they believed was a box cutter.
According to his parents, the boy, 9, said another classmate brought a knife to school.
A different classmate threatened to use that knife inside the school and stab their son, said the parents.
The threat was made at recess.
βStudents should feel safe in school,β said Scott. βStudents should also feel comfortable, if they feel they are at risk at school, to report that to teachers and staff. And that is what happened in this case.β
Weapons are prohibited in Framingham Public Schools. Scott said there are incidents in which a student brings one to school, and in βthose cases we hope that other students would report it and staff would take action.β
The Framingham Police log has an entry for Police visiting Stapleton Elementary on Monday at 11:08 a.m. Patch it is not sure if this when the incident happened.
The parents of the boy, who was threatened, met with school administration Wednesday morning, and again Wednesday afternoon.
