Framingham Taxpayers Association Fears Another Big Tax Hike
Association will hold a town-wide education forum on Saturday, April 11 for the public.

The following is a press release from the Framingham Taxpayers Association:
The Framingham Taxpayers Association is back -- and with good cause.
The reason: There is mounting evidence that the Town, specifically its executive branch, may well be ignoring the strong warnings and specific recommendations made to the Board of Selectmen by an Ad Hoc Committee and a consulting firm to prevent another bitter property tax revolt by residents such as occurred in 2012, which resulted in an average property tax increase of more than 11 percent or an average increase of $576 per homeowner.

In fact, there was at least a double digit increase in 2012 with some hikes as high as 18 percent.
How and why another potential crisis is looming will be explored in depth by the Association in a town-wide public education program to be held on Saturday, April 11, in the Peloguin Room of Heritage Framingham Senior Living, 747 Water St. (Framingham), beginning promptly at 2 p.m.

The elements for this issue will be spelled out, and detailed recommendations will be made on how to introduce and maintain transparency, fairness, and accountability into the Town’s assessment practices.
And most importantly, the audience will be urged to express their concerns and submit questions so that the Association, in conjunction with neighbor associations and groups, can aggressively follow-up and get the answers and required actions required by the administration the residential and business communities deserve.
We urge you to attend.
Enzo Rotatori, Association President
Association Directors: Ginger Esty, Jack Prindeville, Frank Genova, Doug Freeman, Rick Cappucci, and Larry Schmeidler.
