Fyers Lose to Rockets 100-84
The home meet against Needham marked the first loss of the season for the girls swim and dive team.

Going into their meet with Needham on Friday, Oct. 2, the Flyers Girl’s Swim and Dive team had yet to lose.

Prior to the meet, Coach Michael Foley said that he was “very excited for the challenge that lay ahead.”
Although the girls lost 84 to 100, the meet was filled with amazing swims and incredible energy on-deck.

Some of the best times included Kallan Angus’ 1:05.64 in the 100 freestyle, Katherine Castro’s 1:01.57, also in the 100 freestyle, Lara De Silva’s two second drop in the 50 freestyle, with a time of 32 seconds, Natalie Burkett’s two second drop in the 200 freestyle, with a time of 2:15.76, and Julia Long’s 8 second drop in the 500 freestyle, with a time of 5:41.67.
Framingham won the diving event with Halia Bower in first and Catherine Turner in second.
All of the girls, even the ones who aren’t mentioned, had amazing swims on Friday.
Although Framingham lost, the girl’s swam like champions and acted like champions.
Their meet against Needham was the best swim meet that the girls have had all season.
