“Hikes in the price of crude oil over the past week are driving this latest surge at the pump,” said Mary Maguire, director of public and legislative affairs for AAA Northeast, in a release. “We also saw rising prices at this time last year, with the switch over to summer blends of gasoline and the added cost of refining those blends.”
According to AAA, the median local gas prices as of April 20 are:
$2.469 ($2.249-$2.569) Regular Unleaded
$2.629 ($2.299-$2.999) Midgrade Unleaded
