GoFundMe Campaign: Framingham Cop Diagnosed With Cancer
This 20-year-veteran of the Framingham Police Department was rushed to the hospital with stomach pain when they discovered a tumor.

FRAMINGHAM, MAβA 20-year veteran with the Framingham Police Department was recently diagnosed with cancer, and the community has rallied to support him with a fundraiser that has garnered more than $20,000 in less than a week.
Val Krishtal was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pain when doctors discovered a mass on his intestines. The officer will have to endure several rounds of chemotherapy, and then surgery to remove the tumor. He'll be out of work for an extended period.
The GoFundMe account was set up with a goal of $20,000, which has already been surpassed, and hit $21,550 by Thursday afternoon.

"As a devoted father of two young children, as well as being a dedicated police officer, Val selflessly gives of himself," reads the post. "But now, our friend is the one in need of some assistance. Any donation is greatly appreciated."
