GoFundMe Campaign: Framingham Woman Helps School In El Salvador
This Framingham woman noticed a school in desperate need from her family's home country.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Recently, Rebecca Salguero got back from El Salvador, where both of her parents live.
Always feeling the need to give back, she noticed during her visit there that a school was in desperate need of supplied.
Salguero and her cousin Emely have started small, donating notebooks, pencils, sharpeners and other supplies.

"While being there I noticed they needed so much more than what I was able to offer in that moment," she wrote on her GoFundMe fundraising page. "Walking around the school I noticed they had no library, half their computers in their lab weren’t working, and their cafeteria barely had enough tables to seat the school population. School lunch is not free, making it hard for kids to stay focused in classes if they aren’t able to afford it."
She has raised $295 of $1,000 goal toward shipping school supplies so far in her campaign.
