Handicapped Parking Enforcement Upped During Holidays: FPD
If you don't have the right to legally park in a handicapped spot, don't. The fees are high, and it's being enforced by Framingham police.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—If you're not supposed to be parking in a handicapped spot, just don't. The fine is hefty and Framingham police are enforcing the law during the holidays.
The Framingham Disability Commission provided funding through the HP Fine Account to the Framingham Police Department so that they can increase their enforcement of vehicles parked illegally in handicapped (accessible) parking spaces during the 2017 Holiday shopping season.
This increased enforcement program continues through Dec. 26, 2017. Fines for misusing the handicapped placard, or parking illegally, ranges from $10 to $500.

According to the city's announcement, the purpose of this increased enforcement is twofold; to make the public aware that it is illegal to park in handicapped (accessible) parking spaces or access aisles (striped area), without the proper plate or placard, and secondly, to educate the public about proper use of HP Placards and HP Plates.
