HGTV's Property Brothers To Appear at World Market Sunday

World Market opened in the space formerly occupied by Office Depot in Shoppers World in Framingham last week.

HGTV’s Property Brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott will appear at the grand opening of the World Market at Shoppers World next month.

Framingham Patch reported that World Market plans to open in the space formerly occupied by Office Depot in Shoppers World. The retailer already has more than 265 locations in 32 states. This will be World Market’s first location in New England.

Customers can meet Jonathan and Drew Scott from HGTVs Property Brothers at the Grand Opening Cost Plus World Market in Framingham on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Known for helping couples find, buy, and transform extreme fixer-uppers into their ultimate dream homes, the design duo will connect directly with fans, sign autographs and take photos at the grand opening of the new World Market store.

The first 200 customers who bring 5 non-perishable, non-glass food items for charity will meet and get an autograph photo of Jonathan and Drew Scott.

Food will be donated to the Hope Worldwide Food Pantry (Boston chapter).

Each World Market features an “ever-changing selection of casual home décor and furnishings, housewares, gifts, jewelry, decorative accessories, over 500 international wines, gourmet foods and beverages offered at affordable prices and imported from more than 50 countries,” according to the company’s website.

Shoppers would find anything from a Balinese baskets, to pottery from Portugal and collectibles from Africa to indoor and outdoor furniture, kitchen products, as well as scarves and jewelry.

Earlier this year, the Framingham Planning Board approved a green awning and sign for the company at 1 Worcester Road. During the summer, Framingham Selectmen approved the company for a beer and wine license.
